Our school library is accessible to all students and staff, with welcoming spaces led by a certified school librarian who provides relevant instruction, leadership, and resources to develop students' skills in critical thinking, communication, collaboration, and creativity.

Library Support

Our library values access, inquiry, literacy, collaboration, privacy, and equity. We support staff and students by connecting them with high-quality resources and instruction to enhance their learning.

We provide the following services to support learning: 

  • Instruction - Students learn how to responsibly use and evaluate resources, information, and technology tools. 
  • Access to resources - Students check out library books or access digital resources that meet their academic needs or help them explore their interests. 
  • Reader’s Advisory - Get suggestions for which book to read next, or which resources to use for a project.

The mission of the Hunter GT/AIG Magnet Elementary media center is to inspire a lifelong love of reading, learning, and discovery by providing equitable access to diverse resources and technologies. We strive to empower students to become critical thinkers, effective communicators, and responsible digital citizens. Through collaboration with teachers and families, the media center supports academic success and nurtures curiosity in a welcoming, inclusive environment.
